Norwegian equity fund Romania Invest plans to invest 40 million Euro in 2010 in the acquisition of housing units in Romania. The fund bought 70 apartments in the Viva Brasov projects in Brasov and Optima Titan in Bucharest’s Titan neighbourhood, both developed by US company Adama. The fund, which has been on the Romanian market for four years, is negotiating another three transactions, worth between four and eight million Euro, in Bucharest and Ploiesti, said country manager of Romania Invest, Bjorn Hauge. The fund owns 800 apartments worth 100 million Euro in seven residential projects in Bucharest, bought in an off-plan stage and ready to be resold.
