Hello, everybody!” or – better said – „ Bună tuturor!” This is our second Romanian language class.

After having studied some basic vocabulary items related to SALUTURI, NUME, ȚĂRI, NAȚIONALITĂȚI (= Greetings, Names, Countries, Nationalities), today we are going to learn about ORAȘE, PROFESII (Towns, Jobs,)

But – first of all, let’s check your „homework”. Key to exercises:

In Romanian, there is a difference between the masculine and feminine forms:

Bună ziua! Mă numesc Claudia Popescu. (Eu) sunt ziaristă. Sunt din Cluj, din Romania. = Good afternoon! My name’s Claudia Popescu. I’m from Cluj, from Romania.

Bună seara! Numele meu este Marcus. (Eu) sunt doctor. Sunt din Madrid, din Spania. = Good evening! My name is Marcus. I’m a doctor. I’m from Madrid, from Spain.

Bună dimineaţa! Sunt Brian. Sunt inginer. Sunt din Marea Britanie, din Londra. = Good morning! I’m Brian. I’m an engineer. I’m from Great Britain, from London.
