Swedish retailer H&M to open four more stores and hire 100 staff in Romania

 

The Swedish retailer H&M, which entered the local market at the end of March this year, will open four other stores this year, leading to a network of ten units in the country. The new stores will open in September in Iulius Mall shopping centers located in Timisoara and Cluj, in Sun Plaza Shopping Center in Bucharest, and in Constanta’s Maritimo Shopping Center.

“With the opening of new stores, we will also increase the team by the end of this year, with around 100 people”, said Carlos Duarte, county manager H&M Romania.

There are currently six H&M stores on the local market, five in Bucharest and one in Brasov. At the end of March, the retailer opened its first unit in Romania, in AFI Palace Cotroceni shopping center in Bucharest, followed by the ones opened in Unirea Shopping Center, Baneasa Shopping City, and Bucuresti Mall in Bucharest, and Unirea Shopping Center Brasov.
