International Airport Henri Coanda in Otopeni will relax taxi services starting Nov

According to the company, transporter operators which have authorizations issued by authorities in capital Bucharest and the nearby county of Ilfov and meet certain minimum conditions will be allowed to carry out their activity at the Henri Coanda airport. They will be required identification and airport access permits.

The measures liberalizing taxi services were taken in order to apply the amendments brought to Law 38/2003 regulating taxi services, said the press release.

Taxi operators with transport authorizations issued by local authorities other than those in Bucharest and Ilfov will pick up clients only based on contracts or order. These clients must head for localities other than the capital and the Iflov county.

At the beginning of the year, the Henri Coanda airport granted airport access permits to 13 taxi operators and 57 authorized natural persons.
