The months in which apartment prices fell the most were in October (-3.1%), August (-3%) and June (-2.8%), according to the study by imobiliare.ro .
"2010 was a year in which apartment prices have dropped a lot, even with 3% at monthly intervals. Nationally we talk about a price drop of 1.4% monthly average. In the absence of specific signals from the national economy in the first months of this year we did not expect dramatic price developments. In 2011, price declines will be less important than in the past two years, "says Adrian Erimescu, general manager imobiliare.ro.
In Bucharest, apartment prices fell 0.9% in the last months of 2010, up to 1154 euro / sqm, compared to the same period of 2009 but the decline was 12.2%. "The trend of decline has been felt like the two major categories of apartments, new and old. The price of new apartments dropped by 1.3% in the last 30 days of the year, while the old apartments have registered a decline of 1.2%, "says the study quoted.
In Timisoara, house prices fell by 0.4% in December 2010 to a value of 787 euros / sqm, which still qualifies as a city of Timisoara with the cheapest apartments in the country and also the largest average decrease Monthly in 2010. Over the same period last year, the price difference is 17.7%.
In the city of Cluj-Napoca, in the last month of 2010 apartment prices rose 0.3%, reaching an average of 993 euros / sqm, 5.1% lower than the value in December 2009.
In Costa, the price of flats for sale in the last month lost a percentage of the year, up to 919 euro / sqm usable area, the annual decline was 12.8%.
In Brasov, the average price asked for apartments for sale in December 2009 was 870 euro / sqm usable area, 0.8% less compared to the previous month and 8.4% lower compared to same period 2009. "With an average monthly decrease of 0.7%, well below the national average of 1.4%, Brasov is among the cities with the lowest rate of decrease in apartment prices in 2010," says the imobiliare.ro.
Imobiliare.ro majority shareholder (60% of shares) is the investment fund Broadhurst Investment Ltd, administered in Romania by the company New Century Holdings (NCH), who controls the local market and online retailer okazii.ro, according to data from the Registry commerce.
